Beauties On My Canvas

Apart from being a little adventurous writer, I ADORE make-up…from the age of five, I have been sneaking away red lipsticks (still my up-to-day favourite) from my aunts and mum’s make up kit and using that as blush and lipstick-Duo skills.Since, I’ve grown up with fashion related careers women; surprisingly, I have not yet made a fashion blog -hmm not a bad idea. I have been inspired by my fellow friend and gorgeous blogger Sanah Khan (Iblograndomness.blogspot.com) to share my everyday make-up essentials, which I use on my canvas in other words -my face haha.
Here’s a not-so-small wheel of my everyday make up.

I start with using fresh Aloe Vera plant gel direct on my skin as my moisturiser followed by this Clinique- Super City Block spf 40 oil-free(oily face chica). I used a spf every day in the summer while the sun is out as my skin reacts negatively to the sun rays and develops hyperpigmentation but this works so damn good as a PRIMER! I skip it on nights out and evenings because of the picture taking and flash, flash, flash.

I have such an awkward skin tone, which I absolutely love by the way, but when it comes to finding my right shade it is almost impossible without Mac’s products. After using mac studio fix liquid from the age of 15 to 17, I switched to Mac Sculpt NC44. Despite having an oily face, I found Sculpt suits my skin tone and texture best, does not make my face all cakey and closest shade. Let’s not forget the all-time favourite- Mac pro long concealer NC 45/NC42 (four years and counting) I have moved around mac sculpt concealer but I don’t like the creamy feeling especially around the fine line near the eyes- ergh not good!

I’m not an expert when it comes to contouring, but I like highlighting my under eyes and top of my cheekbones. For this, I used Artist of Makeup Flawless Coverage No.45, works like a magic eraser!

To set my make up, I use the Ben NYE Banana powder mainly under my eyes and under my cheek bones.

This is my absolute favourite. ELF- contouring blush and bronzer. It is perfect for my skin tone, unfortunately not available in London yet. I picked this up when I was in wales and I fell in love with the store!

“eyes are the window to the soul”- I love to keep it as simple as I can. I use the Anastasia Brow Wiz in brunette lightly just to fill any spaces as I have quite natural, thick and dark brows already. Mascara, Mascara, mascara… this is an important one! I have been a die-hard fan of telescopic L’Oreal mascara since the age of 14, I loved the long and no clumps lashes sadly since I started to discover l’oreals animal cruelties (poor little bunnies) I could not even touch anymore of their products. Since westfield opened up a Kiko store- Oh Em Gee! Once I have tried their Ultra Tech Mascara, I have never used any other mascaras. They have very similar results as L’oreal telescopic, their brushes are absolutely lush! Waterline- I am not a fan of using black eyeliner, makes my eyes look way too small and I like the window to my soul to be open- haha! Therefore, I use the Rimmel Nude waterproof eyeliner for the bigger eyes effects followed by my body shop -quad brown smokey eye palette under the bottom lash line.

Top bay, top lifts and top goals

25/08/14
Bank holiday weekend has to mean something massive for us Britons right? Well, yes of course but most importantly us Londoners do not waste a second of free time to let loose nor do we miss any opportunities to go nuts. It’s just something in the London water that hypnotises us into this way of living- haha. You must try it to believe it!

Though- please take a pause for this and feel our pain- our London weather is fashionably too sophisticated to allow us to enjoy the weekend bender or any other days off with some good old bright sun, however with that being said despite it rained and rained… no Londoner backed down ( I speak for the ones with the real London enthusiasm) That is right, London weather “we conquer all”- this is just one of the mind-sets you obtain once you dive into the London living.

On one side of London, Notting hill carnival was ON (this only meant “get your carnival fever on, you eager beavers”) and on the other side, there were the four of us again- Saba, sheetal, Mehraj and I. Adventureswithusgirls…Top Golf

Now, let me put forward a little personal biography relating to this adventure, I have never ever touched a real golf club in my life let alone actually hold one. There are two exceptions which I will leave to you to decide whether it can be counted or not; Around some x years ago(I can’t remember honestly-memory of a goldfish) my dear father had gifted my older sister and I a plastic set of golf clubs alongside some golf balls but then again like little moguls we were, we ended up sabotaging each other’s faces- at this point I was unquestionably convinced this is how real golf goes down- oh yeah but my father on the other hand made sure to keep all weapons-like objects out of sight. For him, it was lesson learnt.

The second near-misfortune-missed-my-death-bed time, I had decided to get active on the Nintendo Wii by playing golf- this is why I was warned being active brings no good! I am sure by now you might have an inkling of how things went down; like a pro I swung that remote( I swear it was securely attached to my wrists) in slow motion it was shooting right at the brand new 48” tv, but thank the lord for my fast reflex and I caught that “supposedly golf club”. Bear in mind, my family do not believe in insuring brand new household appliances, I would have actually died. Dead. This concludes why I would like to take it as my first time to play some golf.

Once we arrived at Top Golf, Chigwell, there was two hours of waiting line, TWO hours and this was for the top bay, the best bay of course. As the world is aware of the "pickiness" of women, Mehraj, who is a top golf regular, suggested we only wait on the top bays and let me mention this now my girl did not disappoint, she knew what she was talking about. After those long two hours of waiting, which actually they should not be described as long hours, because us, four girls ,together again is a simply-crazy-out-of-control tornado hitting the place. Golf clubs, golf balls, golf time girls…
A day filled with laughter, competitiveness, love, embarrassments, cuties, flop golfs and most importantly adventurously fun.

Until the next adventure...

An usual train journey

London to Bath Spa

“Would you rather travel back to 100 years in the past or 100 years into the future?” I breathlessly popped out this question to the group, while settling down in our allocated and reserved seats, on the not-so-packed train.

The girls and I were setting off on a day trip to Bath Spa, as the word “spa” is attached to Bath it is obvious why we are going, for a relaxing time out of the city life to enjoy the perks of the Spa there.

Now back to the question, “would you rather…” unfortunately, despite my specific instructions of a group seating to the booking officer, we are scattered around the carriage but we managed to form some sort of a circle. As the rule always follow “the one on the left to the dealer”( I know it is the card game rule but it can be applied), this meant the first one up was Mehraj, this is the girl who is a total nutter, short-cut-bob hair style always up for anything. As she concluded why her choice of whether it will be back to the past or to the future, the next one on her left was Sheetal, this one is the loving, caring and all smiles- haha- no but seriously she has the looks (let me emphasise on only“looks”) of an innocent angelic little girl. Indeed,  she was eager to shoot away into the future. Right, the third one up was Jade- our model chica, the perfect tall, slim build with short blonde hair. She is the extremely passionate one! The drive to chase her passions will inspire you instantly. The fourth one up was, Saba, sometimes-I’m-so-confused-leave-me-alone girl. She will only pay attention to the last part of the conversations and picks up the wrong details of it, but with that being said, she is sort of the class-clown in the group-haha, a very beautiful one though!

Last but not least, I had to answer my own question; I chose 100 years in the past, as I cannot imagine peeking through the future as I just love surprises, whatever life throws, I am ever-so-ready(bulks up, closes up the masks and hold on tightly to the baseball bat)

Throughout this two and a half hours journey from London to Bath Spa, which seemed so short almost not enough for our never ending conversations, we had upset the whole coach and managed to get on their to kill list. Can you just imagine the faces of our fellow passengers? I was pretty sure they needed the spa break more than us after that journey with us.

At last, we had arrived at our destination, as soon as we set foot on the station. We each pulled out our devices and then it kicked off with the picture taking, selfies and snapchat videos. By the time, we all calmed down and finished off with all the social medias- please note we were supposedly to be on a break from the chaotic city- we took a look around the station. To our surprise the station, which was once filled with tourists like ourselves, was now empty. Time to get out.

“True friends are those, when in their companies, who take you to a whole, new parallel universe.”

This was just the train journey, if I was to write up the whole day it would turn into a trilogy novel with a mix genre!

Look out for more snippets of our adventures soon!
